Young People’s Performing Arts Concert 2018

WHAT A SHOW!!! Our Young People’s Performing Arts Concert on 3rd March was a triumph of the best young dance, theatre and vocal talent in Reading! Held at the Park United Reformed Church in East Reading, we had a packed house despite the snow!

A huge No5 ‘Thank You’ to all our incredible acts who made our performing arts concert as amazing as it was on on the night: Progress Youth Theatre Starlet Dance School, T4C, KalakunjBerzerk Productions, Conco Dance, Theatretrain Reading and students of Kendrick School and Reading School!! The breadth and variety of talent on display was clear to see. We’re so incredibly grateful to each and every one of the acts for performing on the night!

Five of our Young Ambassadors, Carly, Abbie, Tom, Sanjana and Jemma, hosted the show, and did a sterling job of introducing all our fabulous acts! Our ambassadors volunteer their time to support No5, and we are so proud of them for working so hard to help guide the show and introduce our acts! Thanks too to our staff and volunteers for their tireless work and immense effort in planning and organising the concert from the bottom up, and running it on the day: it simply couldn’t have happened without you.

Our concert sponsor, Roc Search, made the event possible thanks to funding hall hire, marketing materials and more! Our supporters Red BalloonReading Scientific Services LtdBlue Collar Street Food and Warings Bakery helped us, respectively, by; designing our marketing materials, printing our programmes, volunteering on the night, fabulous refreshments, and delicious No5 biscuits! We couldn’t have done it without you all!!

And of course, we can’t forget our audience members who braved the snow and slush to support our event on the night – you are all legends and really spurred our performers on throughout the evening. Thank you for supporting No5 through buying tickets, refreshments and merchandise, and for being present on the big night; every penny raised will go towards funding our vital counselling and support services for children and young people in Reading!

Here’s to next year’s show!
