No5 granted £5000 by The Cadbury Foundation

We are thrilled to have been awarded a grant of £5000 from The Cadbury Foundation’s ‘Your Charity Your Choice’ scheme!

Each year, Mondelēz International UK employees are invited to nominate wellbeing-related charities or projects close to their hearts, with the final shortlisted charities up for vote amongst colleagues. And we are incredibly grateful to them for selecting us this year.

This generous grant will allow us to purchase new therapy materials for use with the children and young people we support at No5. Sometimes children and young people do not know how to express their feelings or know what they want to say. They can express them much more freely through play, drawing or painting. Books and cards exploring emotional themes, art materials, puppets, soft and hard toys, homely and comforting touches such as blankets and cushions are helpful and can facilitate healing from past stressful or traumatic experiences.  The materials will help communication of problems and concerns which can lead to the development of new ways of thinking and behaving.

Kelly Farrell, community affairs manager at Mondelēz International, said: “We’re extremely proud to be able to support the charities that are important to our employees through our ‘Your Charity Your Choice’ scheme.

“No5 Young People provides an invaluable service, and last year helped over 200 people. We are delighted to know that with The Cadbury Foundation’s help, they can reach even more people.”
