Reading Roadrunners latest fundraising events for No5

Reading Roadrunners selected No5 Young People as their charity of the year 2018 in the spring, and we’ve got some fun updates on their latest fundraising events!

On the evening of June 1st, regular club runner Sam Whalley held a Games evening which raised £134!! The evening included Music and General Knowledge Quizzes, games such as Pot as many balls as you can in 60secs, Darts, guess the weight of the cake and many more. A great evening was had by all attending. Big thanks to Sam for organising and to everyone who joined in!

On 30th June Reading Roadrunners Trisha Arnold and Kerry Eastwood are taking on the Cotswold Way Challenge, a 100km Ultra race over 2 days from Bath to Cheltenham! In Kerry’s words “It’s one of those things that you agree to over a cup of tea and lunch”.

All in the name of Charity and good work, Trisha and Kerry met through personal circumstance “when life changes your direction for you , and you are supportive of each other as well as good friends”.

On 29th July the lovely Sev luckily got  place in Prudential’s Ride London, a 100 mile cycle, as part of her quest to complete the London Classics of the London Marathon, Ride London 100 and 2km Swim Serpentine. She has decided to use this event to raise extra funds for No5, which is greatly appreciated and we wish her the best of luck!
