Make it for May is back with a 5K Challenge!

This May, No5 Young Ambassadors will be running their popular creative event: Make it for May!

#MakeitforMay is a series of inspiring prompts given daily in the month May for everyone to get involved in. This year, the event is split up into themed weeks of Arts, Technology, Movement, and Nature. These themes help inspire different ways of expressing and channelling creativity! You may even discover something new you enjoy!

Last year, participants got involved through drawing, origami, photography, upcycling, face painting, wax modelling, and more! We hope to see even more forms of participation and expression, this year, with the new themed weeks and prompts! This year’s prompts will also include guest features from Fink Street Food and Reside Dance CIC who will be inspiring us to get cooking and get moving!

Keep an eye out for launch day on TikTokInstagramTwitter and Facebook!

5K for May

As a part of ‘Movement’ week (and the month of May) we are challenging people to take part in the ‘Give as you Live’ walk 5K challenge.

You could walk, run, cycle or swim this 5K, its up to you!

The best part about this 5K is that it doesn’t need to be completed in one day, you can do it across the ‘Movement week’ of #MakeitforMay, or even across the whole month! Want to challenge yourself further? Why not commit to walking 5k a day!

For this 5K challenge, we have set up a fundraiser with the target of raising £5k! You can start fundraising or become a donor to the challenge here! Don’t forget to track our fundraising progress and help celebrate everyone’s movement this month. Our target amount of £5,000 will pay for an additional 150 counselling sessions for young people in need of support with their mental health.

‘5’ is a big part of who we are and what better time to take part in this challenge when it’s the 5th month of our 50th anniversary year?!

 Can YOU #makeit ?

If you feel comfortable to, please share your inspired creations with us on social media using the hashtag #MakeitforMay. The Young Ambassadors will be sharing their creations too throughout the month!
