Village Financial Services – Guest Blog

We are delighted to announce that we have a new supporter – Village Financial Services!

Below David Wood, Director of Village Financial Services, shares why they have decided to support No5

“I became aware of No5 through an article on the radio, or TV, I can’t quite remember. I am a big advocate of talking therapies and so No5 is an organisation that has my utmost respect.

We are also aware the pressure put on No5’s services, through lack of funding in an area which needs more and more support. And then of course there is Covid-19 which has put even more demand on their services.

Changes in the leadership of our business means we have far more control over the way we spend profit and how we conduct ourselves in the community. One of our mission statements is to spend 2% of profit on charities and good causes by the end of 2023, we are well on target for this with over 1% of profit donated in 2021.

We are delighted to announce we are supporting No5 by funding 2 sessions a month for one young person. The monthly donation reflects our respect and admiration for an essential organisation.

We are also talking to No5 about running some mentoring or work experience sessions for some of the young people who attend No5. These sessions will help attendees understand the workings of a small business and are also designed to build a little bit of confidence. We hope to be able to offer some sessions from mid-2022, so watch this space.”

We would like to say a massive thank you to Village Financial Services for choosing to support No5.
