Mental Health Workshops Return!

Following a break due to Covid-19 restrictions, our team have delivered their first mental health workshop of 2022!

On Thursday 3rd March our Projects Coordinator, Abbie, and one of our Counsellors, Nathanya, went to Chiltern Training to deliver the ‘Healthy Relationships and Consent’ workshop to one of their classes as part of their ‘Information and Guidance Week’.

Both the students and our delivery team enjoyed the activities and discussions that took part throughout their 45 minute session and this was highlighted in the feedback given!

“Well spoken, good delivery and would recommend the workshop to others”

70% of the students said both the workshop content and relevance of the topics was ‘very good’. When asked what they enjoyed one student said “the relevance and importance of the topics discussed”.

The workshop activities was rated ‘very good’ by 60% of the students as well with them enjoying “the column and shadows task” and the “small activities and videos”.

Both Nathanya and Abbie, are lived experienced young leaders, who devised the workshops alongside our Young Ambassadors. This aspect of the workshops is both really important to us at No5 and to young people, as we found out in our Restart Youth Report.

This was echoed in the workshop feedback, with 70% of the students rating the delivery of the workshop leaders as ‘very good’ and the further 30% as ‘good’ and one student commented that it was “well spoken, [with] good delivery and would recommend the workshop to others”.

We would like say thank you to The People’s Postcode Lottery Trust for providing funding allowing us to deliver this workshop (and many more) for free to local education providers.
