Local Young Person Taking on Challenge to Raise Money for No5!

A local young person has taken on the challenge of walking 12,000 steps everyday in March to help raise vital funds for No5!

Determined to walk a total of 372,000 steps by the end of March, Ellis, who herself has been supported by No5, is hoping to raise money to help other young people get the help they need.

About the challenge, she said:

I was first introduced to No5 after my Grandad died and I found it difficult to cope. Since starting counselling at No5 my confidence has grown and I now have lots of strategies to help me handle new and unfamiliar situations.

This is my way of saying thank you to them for all their help and support.”

We are so grateful to Ellis for taking on this amazing challenge to help raise money to support local young people. Ellis’ confidence and passion is a testament to the impact that being able to access help for your mental health can have on a young person. The number of young people asking for help for their mental health has risen sharply as a result of the pandemic, with No5 receiving almost 1,000 referrals throughout 2021. The money raised will go directly to helping other young people have the help they need more quickly.
