Outreach for Schools
At No5 we are committed to supporting young people’s mental health in our community of Reading. As an extension of this commitment we offer a range of outreach services to schools in Reading and the surrounding area.
No5 Education Outreach Programme
Our Education Outreach Programme aims to deliver vital mental health education, resources and signposting directly to young people within the schools they attend. We deliver workshops and assemblies, as well as a range of useful resources.

Workshops
Our innovative series of Mental Health Workshops for schools in Reading have been created with the aim to educate, support and build self-awareness in young people around issues they face today.
No5 workshops are developed and delivered in collaboration with our Young Ambassadors, Lived Experienced Young Leaders and No5 Counsellors, on a range of topics that young people tell No5 are important to them.
Each workshop has capacity for up to thirty young people and is delivered by two of our experienced workshop leaders.
Our workshops can also be adapted to suit a staff audience.
“Well spoken, good delivery and would recommend the workshop to others” – student feedback after one of our workshops

Our workshops for 2022/23:
- My Story: Lived experience of mental health difficulty and counselling
- Social Media: Staying safe online
- Body Image
- Consent and Healthy Relationships
- Stigma and Loneliness
- Gender Perceptions and Mental Health

Assemblies
We offer assemblies exploring young people’s mental health and the support services No5 offers to young people. We can also signpost to other national and local support organisations and charities.
We can deliver whole-school or smaller year group assemblies
