Our in-school counselling
No5 offers an in-school counselling service direct to secondary schools and colleges in the Reading area. This provision aims to offer easier access to counselling support for schools and their students at the point of need, and tackle barriers to getting support amongst young people by offering it within school hours and environments.
“Since having counselling at No5 I describe myself as a more aware individual; I learned to respect and care for myself, and manage my responsibilities and actions.”
What is counselling
Counselling offers young people a space to be listened to, without judgement. Counselling involves a client (the person coming for counselling) and a counsellor, setting aside time in order to explore difficulties a person is going through, which may include stressful or emotional feelings.

No5 Education Outreach Programme
Our Education Outreach Programme aims to deliver vital mental health education, resources and signposting directly to young people within the schools they attend. We deliver workshops and assemblies, as well as a range of useful resources.
