Francis Construction Charity Golf Day 2023

On the 29th of June, our corporate partner Francis Construction held their annual charity Golf Day and raised funds for No5!

We were delighted to be invited to join them on the day, meet the teams taking part in the various challenges and share the impact their support will have on local young people’s lives.

Francis Construction and their guests raised an incredible £6,220 on the day through team entry, entry into competitions, a raffle and auction!

The money raised will go directly to supporting local young people’s mental health and could be matched by a district Rotary Club and Rotary International. The Francis team have also pledged some of the funds raised to support No5 in the upcoming Big Give ‘Christmas Challenge’ which sees pledges of funding matched by community donations this Christmas! This match funding will multiply the impact of the fantastic amount raised and could lead to at least £20,000 being raised in total!

About the day, Will Barrett, Francis Construction’s Managing Director, said:

“We are thrilled to be able to raise some much needed support for No5 along with our partners, colleagues and friends at our Charity golf day. The increase in demand to support young people who are struggling with their mental health is huge and we hope our contribution will make a difference giving No5 much needed support.”

Carly Newman from No5 added:

“We are so grateful to everyone at Francis Construction for their invaluable ongoing support of No5! Their support makes such a huge different to No5 and our work.

We also want to say a huge thank you to all the teams who took part on the day and played a vital role in raising such an amazing amount to support local young people. It was wonderful to spend the day out on the course with the teams! We are so excited by the upcoming match funding opportunities and that Francis’ dedication to providing mental health support for local young people may result in £20,000 raised in total!”

We would like to say huge thank you to Francis Construction for everything it takes to organise an event like this, and everyone who took part in the Golf Day who by doing so, has supported local young people’s mental health!
